4 February: eFutureVision techniques in action
February 4, 2009 by Sam
In today’s video update Trader Rick discusses a couple of eFutureVision techniques and how they apply to real markets. Starting with what we call the ‘OKC’ (Outside Keltner Channel), you will see how this simple yet effective method can alert you to strong directional momentum and provide a way of picking a safe entry with the momentum.
Also included is an emini S&P 500 technique we use a lot in the live chat room; the AB=CD. This is a good example of how this particular pattern can provide a reliable profit target, but also shows how you can mesh this technique with our 9/30 and 3X methods to look for an entry with the prevailing trend.
Lastly we take a look at a good old fashioned ascending triangle pattern in the S&P 500 and the importance of knowing what to look for when they breakout. We mentioned an overhead target of 840 in the live room yesterday as resistance, which turned out to be a pretty good place to take your profits had you got long following the break of the triangle.
